Pentagram

Pentagram plays an important part in WICCA. That is the reason why, this symbol always appears on the altar tools or as a display itself for most witch. If you do a internet search, the whole list of characteristic of a Pentagram will be chunk out for you, so I guess if you want to know more, there is plenty of information online.

What I would like to emphasis is, the Pentagram is a symbol of 5 elements – earth, fire, water, air and spirit which are drawn in a continuous line. Another way of looking at it, is that it also makes a shape of a human being enclosed in a circle.

In the olden days, the Pentagram is viewed as a protection symbol. In medieval times, it is used to protect one against the Devil. Nowadays, Wiccans will use the Pentagram around their house for protection.
