From the above reading, in the past, the partner viewed the relationship as a learning path for the both of them.  The partner has tried to be the best especially in front of others to avoid any judgement and at the same time, the relationship was very joyful and spiritually attained.

Currently, the partner is still making efforts to sustain the relationship.  However, the partner felt suffocated at times and felt that the relationship was too heavy a burden to bear.  The partner also feels that he/she was always giving in and not having anything back in return.
